Free Friday: Watermelon Coasters

Oh, where did the weekend go!?  I know I saw it on Friday, but then WHOOSH, it was gone!  Do you guys every have that problem too?  It seems like summers are the worst for losing weekends, which is a shame because I want them to really last!  In the winter, weekends drag on for centuries it seems like, probably because there's less to do and fewer fun things to look forward to.

Anyway, so I realize this post is three days late, but I hope you all like this pattern anyway!  It's a cute adaptation to the last pattern I posted, the Summery Citrus Coasters.  It's essentially the same pattern, with just some color changes.  It's amazing how well that worked out!  And just like the citrus coasters, these ones also double as a wide mouth mason jar lid.

Hubs and I are driving out to Maine this Friday for a week long beach vacation!  Doesn't that sound exciting!?  I'm soooo excited.  So that means I probably won't have a new pattern this upcoming Friday, but I really want to refocus and get back into blogging more regularly when I get back.  So keep your eyes peeled for new posts in August!

Autumn Leaves TIssue Box Cover

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  I hope you're all having a lovely week so far.  Mine has been pretty good, except for this crazy unseasonal coldness (it's 65 degrees today!).  That's ok.  I plan on making some soup and pretending it's fall until the heat comes back later this week!  I like soup.

I realize I've been neglecting my blog again, and I'm sorry about that :(  But the good news is that I did get a pattern finished for my shop!  And I rather like this one.  To be fair, I love fall and especially fall colors, so of course I love this one.  Hopefully you'll love it too!

Hope you all have a good rest of the week!  With luck *crosses fingers* I'll have another free pattern up on Friday!

Free Friday: Summery Citrus Coasters

Happy Friday, everyone!  I can't believe it's Friday again already, but I guess that's summer for you.  It just whooshes by so quickly!  Flowers bloom and are gone, fruit comes in and out of season, hot lazy days soon turn into crisp, busy autumn.  You have to make sure you get out there and enjoy it while we have it!

That's what inspired me with this week's free pattern, one of the best parts about summer; citrus!  Now I realize that most citrus are actually winter fruits, but... lemonade and key lime pie and fresh bright oranges just look so summery!

As a bonus, these coasters are also perfectly sized to be used as wide mouth mason jar lids!

Free Friday: Star Magnet

Happy Friday, everyone!  Do you have any good plans for the weekend?  Any good Fourth of July picnics or bike rides or barbecues?  My hubs and I are planning on going for another great bike ride.  Our goal is to get across the whole county wide rails to trails bike path this summer, one section at a time.  We've gotten close in the past, but we're really hoping to get it done this year!

My goal to get lots of free patterns made this week was mostly a success!  I got five(!) patterns made this week, which means I have a whole month of patterns lined up!  Hopefully I'll remember to post them :D

I realize this pattern is perhaps a tad late, but I figure it's never the wrong time to celebrate our beautiful country, right?  And plus, there's something about the colors red, white and blue that just say SUMMER!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a beautiful Fourth!

Free Friday: Unicorn Magnet

Happy Friday, everyone!  It was a personal struggle, but I managed to keep my promise to post a new free pattern!  I've actually had this one sitting around for a few weeks, just haven't had the time to turn it into a pattern.  But I finally managed!

This is a cute magnet in the style of the adorable unicorn cakes that the internet is in love with lately.  I figured, why confine that design to cakes?  This is a pretty large magnet, and I think it would make a cute little wall hanging too.

Stars and Stripes Patterns

Hey everyone!  Gee, it's been a while, hasn't it?  Does summer just take over your life like it does mine?  I feel like I'm on a really fast moving treadmill trying to catch a carrot dangled right in front of me.  I guess that was a stupid analogy, lol.  At any rate, the point is, life is full and I'm sure you all can understand that.

Despite everything, I did manage to get a pattern made for my shop!  My next project is to sit down and make a big pile of free patterns to post here on my blog for all of you!  I figure if I focus  on it maybe I can get enough patterns done to get us through the busy summer schedule.  That's tomorrow's project!

Anyway, here's my new patterns!

I realize these are a little late for the 4th of July, but it's never too late for cool  and rustic Americana decor, right?

Hope you're all having a great week, and keep an eye out for a free pattern on Friday!
